Here’s this week’s “Links we Love”  – a few articles from around the world which we think could help you weave a little more profitability into your business…….

1. How do you spend the first hour of your (work) day? It’s meant to be the best part of the day but are you using it wisely? Here are two different views: this one is a quick summary from some well known and highly sucessful people and the other, with a more practical bent, is from a working Mum.

2. More on being super effective: would aVA (virtual assistant) help you? I’ve got a fabulous VA but, ugh, struggled in the past with making that whole VA thing work. I should have read this article sooner!

3.Naomi Simson started Red Balloon when her two children were tiny and she’s grown it into a fabulously successful business. Here she talks about the essential first step and she poses you a question. Don’t be fooled by its simplicity!

4. And talking of simple, how about this? Do one simple marketing item each day. Do-able? Yes. Will you do it? Um. Here are some tips and thoughts from uber-guru Seth Godin.

5. The more you do the better you get. True. But ‘doing the more’ can be painful so we, er, don’t. Here’s how Sean D’Souza made himself do it. His example is about writing but really it applies to anything. Yes? Go do!

I’ve been tempted for a while to get a VA. What do you find your VA most useful doing?

Hi Charlene. MY VAs done some FAB stuff for me from booking appointments to formatting documents, a bit of really easy graphic design, sourcing people to help me with stuff. All sorts really! I started very small and then the more she did the more I realised she could do! Does that make sense?!
